It's all well and good having a beautifully designed website with all the bells and whistles, but if it never comes up in a search or no-one even lands on it, it's really just wasting valuable cyber space. Web analytics platforms help to provide insight as to what kind of traffic a website is actually getting, and in turn, helps website owners or developers to make any necessary adjustments to increase traffic and user interaction. Positionly is one of these web analytics platforms. Positionly also provides the Positionly API that makes this functionality available to developers who may want to integrate it with other applications.
All the major computing architectures in use today trace their lineage back to the pioneering work of mathematician John von Neumann. Developed from the 1930s through the 1950s, the theories put forth by von Neumann provided the foundation on which the ENIAC, the first general-purpose computer, were based. Subsequently, every system developed since then has relied on the same basic principles to deliver faster levels of computational performance.
I thought the social network space was filled up by the likes of Facebook, Twitter, Google+, kind of like how online bookstores have been dominated by companies led by Amazon. Sure, there are new social network competitors, but we grok the beast. But just when LinkedIn seemed to define the boundaries of social networking, Instagram comes out of nowhere and suddenly we understand less than we thought.
