HERE Mobility Launches Mobility SDK
Here Mobility has launched its HERE Mobility SDK. The SDK aims to democratize the mobile ecosystem by offering developers access to mobility services and map & location services. The SDK was originally beta tested by a select group and then tested through various hackathons.

The device contains a GPS device that can certainly track your mileage or help plan a route; but let's face it, your smartphone can do that much while sitting in your pocket (or underneath your biking tights). BikeSpike's mission goes beyond a simple GPS. BikeSpike offers automatic crash and tamper protection. BikeSpike aims to help users when they are unable to actually ride the bike. To spark further innovation around its hardware, BikeSpike provides an open API targeted at the developer community.
Sound of the City Expands Mapping to Include Sound Data
Take a look at the mashups that we publish on ProgrammableWeb and you can easily find services that will show you where you can see beautiful things. Maps that show the origin of photos from Instagram (Gramfeed) are becoming more and more popular. You can also find services that will tell you where you can taste great wine (AmericanWineryGuide).
