On August 16, Twitter shuttered two legacy APIs that it had announced would be removed earlier this years. Developers of a number of popular third-party Twitter clients warned that the shutdown of the User Streams and Site Streams APIs would negatively affect users of their apps.
GitHub today unveiled Teletype for Atom, a new tool that aims to make real-time social coding much easier. Atom is a free, open-source text editor that GitHub first released in 2014. With Teletype, which is currently in beta, developers anywhere in the world can collaborate without latency.
