This SDK is a PHP client for the Meetup.com API powered by the Guzzle Project. The API provides RESTful HTTP and streaming interfaces for exploring and interacting with the Meetup platform. This includes; categories, checkins, cities, events and more. Meetup brings people together in thousands of cities to organize more of what they want to do in life.
Twitter has been planning to end certain legacy, live APIs for quite some time. After delaying the move a couple of times, Twitter appears to be officially ending some live and streaming APIs next month. This leaves certain apps, like Twitterrific, with no capacity to continue offering key features.
A series of conferences known as the Nordic APIs have started a four-day tour of four countries in Northern Europe. The mission: Bringing API discussions to the capitals of Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Norway. Presentations by sponsors MuleSoft (parent company of ProgrammableWeb), Ping Identity, Twilio, Axway and Layer 7 are joined by local speakers in each country under the overarching theme of “Private, Partner and Public APIs.” The first event, held in Stockholm today, was fully booked, with events in Copenhagen and Helsinki also expected to reach audience capacity. ProgrammableWeb spoke with presenters and participants at the opening event.
Stack Overflow, the very successful question and answer site for programmers, have now released their own API into public beta. The API actually works with all of the Stack Exchange sites, including serverfault.com and superuser.com, with more sites possibly launching in the future. The API is supported by the site http://stackapps.com.
