Wearables were a hot trend at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) trade show in Barcelona this week. No fewer than six devices made their debut, including fitness bands and full-on smartwatches. Without app support, however, these tools are little more than expensive jewelry.
Amazon quietly launched the AWS IoT Button, a limited release programmable button that developers can program to control connected devices and services. The AWS IoT Button sold out in a few hours. Developers interested in trying it out can sign up to be notified when more buttons become available.
