Google has released a new Instant Buy API for iOS. The API enables mobile device users to purchase items with a single click, as opposed to entering account information with each purchase. The API is now available for iOS devices and is meant to cut down on the amount of typing consumers must exert in order to make purchases with their Google Wallet accounts.
Eight APIs have been added to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Payments, Cryptocurrency and Machine Learning. Highlights include the LunarCRUSH API which provides trend analysis about cryptocurrency and the QuadPay API for splitting payments into four installments.
The third largest retailer in the world, Tesco, a grocery-and-more chain largely in the UK, will soon unveil a REST API for its online store (Tesco API profile). Developers will be able to search products, as well as get nutritional information, such as how many calories are in a serving of crisps or biscuits.
