It's tax time and, if you're like me, you are going through your annual reflection, wondering if there's a better service you could use. There are a number of options available on the web for amateur bookkeepers. Here are a select few that have APIs.
There's a new way to get thousands of local points of interest into your web maps: the CloudMade Data Market Place. There's a fee for using the data, but otherwise it's as easy as the standard CloudMade API (our CloudMade API profile). For a few hundred dollars per year, you can add any restaurant in the U.S., hospitals in the UK to your map, or one of about 80 datasets.
UK banking API provider, TrueLayer, has made its first major international expansion. Starting this month, the company is beginning to build its presence in Germany. A full, public beta for the Germany Data API is scheduled to begin in March 2019. Roadmap countries include France, Italy, and Spain.
