The Pocket iOS SDK by Pocket can interact with the API to save URLs of users' preferred books and media. Installation instructions explain how to download the SDK, add the Pocket SDK to a new project, obtain a consumer key, add the URL scheme, and configure. After installation, developers will be able to make requests to save URLs.
Read-it-later service Instapaper has released what it's calling a "full API." With it, developers using the Instapaper API can create applications that both write to and read from the service. The full API is free to developers, but only paying users can read from their Instapaper account using third-party tools.
Google has begun distributing a new release of Google Play Services to all Android devices, and along with it made a new SDK available to developers with a handful of new APIs. The main additions include a Google Analytics API, Tag Manager, Address API, Google Drive API, and updated support for Google Play Games. Google Play Services 4.3 is being pushed to hardware already running Android 2.3 Gingerbread and up. This encompasses the bulk of smartphones and tablets in use today.
