This SDK is Android bindings for the rideOS API. rideOS provides a next-generation transportation platform that is offered as a series of REST APIs. It allows users to integrate with any portion of the stack, while focusing on the needs of a specific to ride-share hail. rideOS provides services to accelerate the global roll-out of next-generation transport.
In January, OnStar announced an API would allow third party developers to integrate their applications with OnStar's platform. Last week, General Motors announced its first partner for API integration: RelayRides. RelayRides is "[t]he world's largest peer to peer carsharing marketplace." The partnership with GM allows OnStar users to leave their keys in their cars when renting a car to a fellow RelayRider. The renter can then unlock the car with a smartphone app or by responding to a text message.
Leading communications platform as a service (CPaaS) provider, TeleSign, opened a new self-service portal for access to its APIs and SDKs. While the CPaaS market is booming, more access to TeleSign cloud-based communications services should help attract innovation within the TeleSign ecosystem.
