Elsevier, a provider of scientific, technical and medical information products and services, today announced that it is now offering its Gold Standard Drug Database (GSDD) Application Program Interface (API) in the Elsevier cloud powered by Amazon Web Services.
In January, OnStar announced an API would allow third party developers to integrate their applications with OnStar's platform. Last week, General Motors announced its first partner for API integration: RelayRides. RelayRides is "[t]he world's largest peer to peer carsharing marketplace." The partnership with GM allows OnStar users to leave their keys in their cars when renting a car to a fellow RelayRider. The renter can then unlock the car with a smartphone app or by responding to a text message.
AvidMobile, mobile marketing solutions provider, gives developers two-way access to its mobile marketing platform through the AvidMobile API. The two-way approach to an API strategy allows AvidMobile users to better engage targets and track success. The API is available to build a custom app upon, or users can simply send and receive SMS messages from existing apps.
