The SignNow Ruby SDK interacts with the API to access e-signature features, including signing, sharing, and managing documents. SignNow collects signatures from partners, employees, and customers from mobile and web platforms.
APIs are not only critical when it comes to extending the digital reach of an organization; they can also provide tangible brick and mortar benefits as well. Walgreens, for example, recently announced that it has developed an API and software development kit that allows developers of mobile applications to include the ability to print out photos within their applications at any one of 7,907 Walgreens locations.
Opening a panel on enterprise use of APIs this morning at API Strategy and Practice in Amsterdam, Kin Lane of API Evangelist, said that “Where the enterprise is colliding with web APIs is fascinating. Helping enterprise understand web APIs, but also helping web developers understand the enterprise is an essential next step.” Helping unpack enterprise use of APIs, were panelists Isabelle Mauny, Director of Product Management at WSO2, Ismail Elshareef, Open Platform at Edmunds, Laura Heritage, Principal Consultant at SOA Software, and Toralf Richter, Senior Manager Engineering at Tom Tom Business Solution.
