Facebook has filed a lawsuit against OneAudience. The lawsuit alleges that OneAudience paid app developers to embed its SDK on applications that collected personal data from users on Twitter, Facebook, and Google. Facebook and Twitter both exposed the company's practices in November 2019.
Last week I had the pleasure of attending the O’Reilly Strata Conference in New York City, and sat in on a very important keynote from Drew Conway and Jake Porway about their project, Data Without Borders. Data Without Borders is looking to match non-profits in need of data analysis with freelance and pro bono data scientists who can work to help them with data collection, analysis, visualization, or provide decision support.

Gathering all that data in a way that makes sense to both the developer and the people that need to act on that information has always been problematic. Looking to take that issue head on, New Relic this week launched the public beta of New Relic Insights, a real-time analytics tool that developers can invoke within the context of the New Relic application performance management (APM) service.
