San Francisco continues its dominance of the API job market, but this week brings us a new location we haven't seen before: New Zealand. As more and more API-related jobs become available, it's likely that they'll continue to show up all over the world.
Wowzer, video screening/interviewing provider, announced the public release of the first Wowzer API. Wowzer believes its video screening platform (as an alternative to phone screening) reduces candidate screening time by 75%. Recruiters and employers can evaluate and respond to applicants in a time and manner most beneficial to their organization. Extending the Wowzer platform via API allows recruiters to integrate the Wowzer features into existing hiring processes.
Google has announced the launch of a new Indexing API that publishers can use to notify Google when job posting pages on their sites have been updated. According to Google, the use of the API "allows Google to schedule job postings for a fresh crawl, which can lead to higher quality user traffic."
