Metwit is a crowdsourced API platform that provides third party applications the ability to integrate media-rich local weather and environmental data that is hyperlocal and in real-time. The Metwit API Platform collects weather information from Twitter, Instagram, NOAA and other sources which makes it possible for third party applications to use tweets, photos, and metatags to provide users accurate and interactive local weather information.
Twitter recently informed its developer community of updates to its API v2, including new resources intended to support conversation reply settings, a new feature that allows users to specify who can reply to their Tweets. These updates are meant to help those tracking public conversations.
Twitter has announced major changes that will alter the way the company calculates 140 characters. Certain attachments, URLs, and handles will no longer count towards the character limit. Changes will allow users to use more words, and developers must prepare for the upcoming changes.
