The Unofficial Google Trends Python SDK by John Hogue and Burton DeWilde allows developers to integrate the Google Trends API into their Python applications. This SDK works with Python 2.7+ and Python 3.3+.
Developers have always exercised more influence over all things IT than generally acknowledged. But now it looks like the reach of that influence is starting to extend well into business and society itself. A new survey of 1,000 software developers in the U.S. published today by Chef, providers of an open source framework for automating the management of IT, finds that 94 percent of the developers surveyed expect to be a revolutionary influence in major segments of the economy during the next five years. Additionally, 63 percent feel a talented software developer has more power to change society than a talented public speaker.
Canon, HP, Samsung Electronics and Xerox have announced the launch of the Mopria Alliance, a brand new non-profit membership organization that was created to promote and increase the accessibility of wireless printing from smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices. The need for printing functionality to be possible from a wide range of devices has led to an increase in the number of available printing APIs. At the time of this writing, there are 45 printing APIs listed in the ProgrammableWeb API directory.
