Contactology, an Email Marketing service, has announced the release of its API. The new API Version 2 has big changes that make it more developer friendly. First, it adopts the REST style over Version 1 that was based on SOAP. It also provides data as developer-preferred JSON. The changes make the API easier to use, which is good for everyone.
We've added twenty six APIs to the ProgrammableWeb directory in categories including Messaging, Transportation, Location, and Open Data. Highlights today include an API that can provide developers with Uber driver information, and the Hypertrack.io API, for adding location tracking features to apps.
The API allows developers to access and manipulate Gmail much like they would a database, performing CRUD operations on email messages as well as attachments, drafts, threads and labels.
