Acision, leader in the mobile services space, has launched the Forge API. Forge constitutes an API that gives developers and enterprises access to enterprise grade communications features (e.g. SMS, VoIP, WebRTC, etc.). The API access allows developers to easily build mobile applications with such features. The new release allows users to take advantage of Acision's carrier grade enterprise reliability with with agility expected in the mobile space.
PowerInbox’s original attempt to save e-mail required that users install PowerInbox alongside their email client. Although users enjoyed the app functionality within their inbox, the bothersome step of installing PowerInbox limited adoption. PowerInbox has removed the install step with the launch of its open API: Connect API.
Most companies need help with their phone support. Parents want a safe way to let their kids to call relatives without sharing their increasingly-important mobile phone. And businesses have an insatiable appetite for better sales information or help hiring great developers. All of these problems are solved in the most recent contest from telephony-as-a-service provider (and ProgrammableWeb sponsor) Twilio. The company typically runs a weekly contest for its Twilio API, but gave devs twice as long for this mega-contest, which also produced five winners.
