MuleSoft recently announced the availability of Anypoint Platform on the UK government’s latest G-Cloud framework, G-Cloud 9. The framework provides UK public sector organisations with a way to buy cloud-based services as commodities to accelerate cloud adoption cost-effective manner.
Structured data has an open platform, thanks to a new startup aptly named Factual. At first glance, it seems like Excel on the web. However, Factual is more database-oriented, with joining and filtering built-in. Plus, sharing and discussing the data is an integral part of the experience. Most functions on the site, including both reading and writing data, can also happen via the Factual API.
IKANOW, open source big data platform provider, has released a Developer API. Much in line with the company's broader mission and message, the goal of the API showcases focus and simplicity: "[M]ake it simple for developers to gather, harvest and enrich a diverse array of structured and unstructured datasources and build compelling data driven applications." IKANOW built the Developer API on its Infinit.e platform (i.e. its flagship analytics product).
