eBay has introduced HeadGaze, a technology that allows users to control an iPhone through head motions. The technology uses Apple's ARKit and resulted in a test app that allows users to swipe through deals on eBay (HeadSwipe). eBay has open sourced the technology and posted on GitHub.

Kairos, known for its cloud-based face recognition solution, has introduced an on-premise version of its API. An on-premise option allows users to better secure their use cases, and reduces latency between apps that consume the API, and the compute-heavy cloud where Kairos built its tech.
