GitHub has announced a beta public release of a new Checks API that gives developers to build solutions for continuous integration, linting and acceptance testing. The API, which currently works with GitHub's REST API, allows GitHub integrations to obtain richer information about code commits.
MuleSoft has launched a major upgrade to its Anypoint Platform for APIs, aimed at assisting businesses to take a design-first approach to their API strategy. The newest additions include Anypoint API Portal, Mule Studio with APIkit (an Eclipse-based GDE), and Anypoint API Manager.
Github has open sourced a Ruby library it calls Scientist. The idea behind scientist is that it helps developers to replace old clunky (but working) source code "with confidence." In other word, there's less praying when you're ready to cut over to the new version. But can it work for APIs too?
