Are you part of a beer community and like to get information on various breweries in and around your neighbourhood and their beers? If yes, the Brewery DB is a great project that aims to build an open database of breweries and beers. You can contribute your data along with other beer afficinados but if you are a developer, you have access to all of this information via its Brewery DB API.
In what is surely a sign of the next big thing, there's now an API named after Mark Wahlberg, or at least his 1990s rap alter ego. The Marky Markdownifier API can't promise the good vibrations of a dance party from yesteryear, but it sure can convert HTML pages to markdown. And really, in 2012, no bunch is funkier than a developer tool that both consumes and provides an API.
In our writeup on Seevl, we mentioned that using the Seevl API to add context to Youtube videos would be ideal. Well, apparently, it was thinking along exactly those same lines. I talked briefly with Alexandre Passant, who is one of the main people at Seevl, and we talked about the company's new mashup, and its future plans for the API.
