Yandex offers Disk, a service for storing and sharing files. The Yandex.Disk API enables programmatic access and retrieval of these files from any device connected to the internet. The API can be accessed within and Android device by implementing the Yandex.Disk Java SDK. The SDK requires enabling the Apache HttpComponents and xpp3 libraries.
Microsoft has joined the likes of Google and Mozilla with its release of the WebRTC 1.0 API. The release enables real-time audio, video, chat, and file sharing across platforms and browsers. With the first release, Microsoft is focused on delivering RTC functionality in existing, legacy websites.
Minbox launched today with the intention to disrupt the already disruptive cloud storage space. Minbox lives as a Mac app that allows users to send files of any size in a fraction of the time other cloud storage providers offer. A quick glance at Minbox's homepage offers a video demo that shows the same file sent via Minbox and then dropbox. Where Minbox sends the file in four seconds, Dropbox takes over five minutes to upload and send the file.
